Recap Korean Drama "Woori The Virgin" Episode 12

Woori The Virgin(우리는 오늘부터) is a 2022 South Korean Romantic Comedy Series which is the remake 2014 American Series Jane The Virgin. This drama is directed by Jung Jung-hwa and stars Im Soo-hyang, Sung Hoon and Shin Dong-wook in lead roles. The series runs for 14 episodes. Woori The Virgin Episode 12 has a runtime of 60 minutes.

In Woori The Virgin Episode 12, Kang-jae and his colleagues visit Raphael’s father for an informal interrogation because his face was captured near the murder site of doctor Lee Jong-gu. Raphael’s father denies the allegations but Kang-jae notices something odd in his room. A flash comes from a pot in his office and Kang-jae finds out the necklace and also a scalpel hidden inside it. This creates a strong case against him and Kang-jae locks in Raphael’s father.

Lee Ma-ri visits Raphael’s father before he does. After Raphael arrives, he asks his father first thing if he has really anything to do with the criminal activities. His father is disappointed in him for not believing but every proof is against him. The police have raided the hospital and the reputation of the hospital is in danger. While Raphael sits in his office, a lady comes in and tells the truth about her affair with his father and that on the day of the murder, his father was on his way to meet her.

Raphael’s father has made an excuse of sickness to get out of jail. When in hospital, his secretary Ms. Im gives him some pills that make him faint and she kidnaps him. Apparently, she is Raphael’s sister whom their father abandoned in the orphanage. She is the mysterious Chairman Kim who has been doing illegal activities at the hospital. The hospital originally belonged to her mother and she wants to take it back.

Chairman returns to the hospital and bumps into Woo-ri first thing. Woo-ri remembers the touch of her attacker and gets the same feeling when Im touches her. Woo-ri follows her suspiciously and leaves Kang-jae a voice message but gets caught by Im. Im aka Chairman Kim kidnaps Woo-ri but Kang-jae couldn’t stop her. Raphael is already following Chairman Kim and Kang-jae is following him and has called for backup.

Raphael reaches the abandoned warehouse first and sees both his father and Woo-ri tied. Kang-jae reaches later and finds Chairman Kim leaving but he lets her go to save Raphael’s father and Woo-ri first. He manages to save them but Chairman Kim runs away. Raphael reconciles his relationship with his father and Ma-ri asks Raphael for another chance but he refuses since he knows how much she has conned him. Ma-ri and Woo-ri’s family has found out about her and Raphael’s breakup.

Woo-ri has gotten promoted from an assistant writer to a drama writer and it’s time for celebration in her family. However, the situation becomes awkward when Woo-ri’s grandmother invites Raphael and her mother invites Kang-jae. Kang-jae tries to take his chance and asks Woo-ri to date him again but Raphael interrupts and also puts forth his dating proposal to Woo-ri. Now, she has to make a decision to choose between the two of them.

Woori The Virgin Episode 12 Review

Woori The Virgin Episode 12 is such a disappointment. The series was already stretched in the previous episodes to build up a climax for Chairman Kim and in this episode, it is revealed in the most unenthusiastic way. The episode is rushed and no plot gets enough time to prove its worth. The series had already lost track and this episode hopefully ends all the fiasco. The actions and decisions taken by almost all the characters make them look stupid. We need more Woo-ri the virgin and not police and criminal chase.
