Recap Korean Drama "The Golden Spoon (2022)" Episode 11

Oct 30, 2022

The Golden Spoon episode 11 starts off with Ju-hee questioning Seung-cheon about the book she had gifted “Lee Seung-cheon” to which he tells her that he had just picked it up. He then shifts the topic by asking about the case she had opened and she spills the beans. Elsewhere, Yeo-jin keeps annoying Tae-yong before he can eat which puts him off and he leaves.

She then sends a message to Seung-cheon while mentioning a rule of the golden spoon which has him rushing to her. She then tells him about the rule and warns him to not go against her or else she will make sure that everyone knows his truth. Elsewhere, Ju-hee soon makes the connection between the things she saw in Seung-cheon’s locker and finds out that Jun-tae may be the real culprit in her father’s murder.

Right then, Taeyong arrives to meet her and sees the documents which led to him finding out about Ju-hee’s investigation all these years. He then makes his way to Seung-cheon and tells him that he will help the two in investigating the murder, however, if he is the culprit then Tae-yong will make sure to not let him go.

He then leaves to go back home, but right then he comes across the roads near the arc which seems familiar to the drawing in the books. He looks around to find the grandma and sees no one there which leads to more confusion on his side when he remembers that Seung-cheon had a similar spoon which he fought him for.

The next day, Seung-cheon apologises to Hyun-do for his behaviour but the latter lets go of the matter by letting him know that he “respects” his son’s feelings. This makes Seung-cheon suspicious but he doesn’t say anything, while on the other hand, Hyun-do has something big planned for the Lee family.

The scene shifts to the Hwang house where Lee Cheol and his wife have come to make a delivery and are thanked by Young-sim. She sends a bundle of gifts back with them, but while leaving, Lee Cheol’s eyes fall on a one-of-a-kind drawing set which astonishes him. On the other hand, Hyun-do meets up with Tae-yong in his office and asks him to join Doshin group.

Tae-yong doesn’t say anything about it but instead asks about the reason why Seung-cheon left for the US ten years back. Hyun-do gives him a roundabout answer and doesn’t say much, however, he is shocked by this question. Tae-yong then leaves the office, but cannot help imagining himself as Hyun-do’s son.

Elsewhere, Ju-hee meets up with Jun-tae and tries to sneakily get him to give out some important information, but he soon catches on to it and holds her tight with her hair. Right then Seung-cheon arrives and saves her as the two soon escape from the scene. The two make their way to Ju-hee’s house and are soon joined by Tae-yong.

Seung-cheon then reveals the information that he has gathered till now and lets them know that Jun-tae should be the real culprit behind the murder. He tells them to investigate the burner phone which was the last call received by President Na and find more clues related to it. He then later leaves to give Yeo-jin a surprise visit at her company before going off to meet one of Jun-tae’s old lackeys.

There he gets the confession that Jun-tae had indeed called President Na through a burner phone before going crazy with anger. On the other hand, Ju-hee receives the CCTV and dash cam footage related to another case that happened near her old house and is ready to go through them all.

However, what she doesn’t know is that Jun-tae has broken into her house and has seen the evidence that she had collected which enrages him. As soon as Ju-hee arrives outside her house, he wants to kill her but stops when she receives a phone call from Seung-cheon.

Seung-cheon soon arrives and the two start going through the videos until he accidentally falls asleep there. The next day, Ju-hee wakes up to the sound of Seung-cheon preparing breakfast and soon Tae-yong unexpectedly joins the two.

The Golden Spoon Episode 11 Ending

The Golden Spoon episode 11 ends with Tae-yong asking Seung-cheon about the golden spoon which triggers the latter and he rushes out of the house. The two are left behind and Ju-hee once again starts going through the videos and soon she finds a piece of evidence that points towards Jun-tae. The two are excited and soon make their way to the police station.

Hyun-do is alerted of this and makes a plan to use this situation and soon arrives at Jun-tae’s house. Elsewhere, Ju-hee is happy about finally getting the chance to reopen the case, when she notices a weird woman carrying a bag that is similar to the one she lost ten years back.

She then tries to question the woman but ends up in a chase that is nothing but futile. On the other hand, Tae-yong finds more connections to something abnormal happening around him which makes him sure that something is not right. He then goes off to meet Seung-cheon at his office.

Yeo-jin soon steps in and tells Tae-yong that he is wrong and that he is being delusional which shocks him as he rushes out. Ju-hee follows him while Seung-cheon is surprised by everything that happened.

However, they are soon interrupted by the news of Jun-tae being arrested for the murder of President Na. Elsewhere, Tae-yong finally sees the weird grandma and a golden spoon that she is selling.

The Golden Spoon Episode 11 Review

More and more golden spoons are popping up and it looks like the number of shifters is more than we may have estimated. Hyun-do definitely looks like a shifter at this point and I won’t be surprised if this is true or if Lee Cheol turns out to be the real head of the Doshin group. Maybe that’s why he keeps repeating that his heir may even be someone who is not of his blood.

However, what I do like is that Tae-yong has finally reached the level of desperation which makes him see his grandma at last. He has really taken over Seung-cheon’s burden and understood the real tough life that is being lived by the Lee family.
