May It Please the Court episode 11 starts with a heartbroken Chak-hee telling Si-baek that she will put him on death row herself. With renewed enthusiasm, Chak-hee starts to investigate the different crime scenes and how Si-baek is connected to everyone, considering there were no signs of breaking in. She comes to the conclusion that there definitely was an accomplice to help Si-baek carry out these crimes.
That night, a nurse finds Jae-ho unconscious and bloodied on the floor and sees Chi-sik carrying Dal-jae out of the hospital. The next morning, Kyung-jin mentions that this entire thing is definitely a set-up since the murderer is doing everything possible to get caught. She sniffs something fishy in the entire situation, especially because Jae-ho, too, survived another attempt at his life.
As Chi-sik takes an unconscious Dal-jae home, Kyung-jin talks to Si-baek and tells him that they have the evidence necessary to arrest the actual culprit and implores him to tell her what his role is in all of this mess but to no avail. Meanwhile, Chak-hee meets Kyung-ju and signs up to help him do his job.
She later meets the grocery store granny and learns about Si-baek’s past from her on the pretext of marrying him. Unfortunately for her, she doesn’t remember anything, but Chak-hee does get the granny’s name.
Chak-hee meets Kyung-ju and gets to know about Si-baek’s past a little bit. Unfortunately, things are still a bit hazy for her to form a definitive opinion. As the media starts to talk about the victims’ pasts, Gi-do gets agitated since his chances of winning slip lower with every rumour. The one surrounding him involves Byeong-cheon taking on the identity of another person to mask the fact that he was actually a famous police officer from the ‘70s and ‘80s with a penance for torture. The rumour originates from Yu-chul’s blog, which is currently trending with people.
Gi-do is beside himself at the revelation and asks Dae-hyeon to shut down everything related to Byung-chun and Si-baek.
Meanwhile, Chak-hee checks out Jwa Sang-gil’s alleged shoe factory and learns that Sang-gil’s son Jwa Si-baek died when he was in first grade in a hit-and-run accident. Sang-gil tried his best to catch the killer, but it never worked out. Now faced with even more questions, Chak-hee goes through old newspaper clippings to find out about Si-baek.
Elsewhere, Dal-jae freaks out as he wakes up, now remembering that he might be Lee Dong-pil. Confused, he tells Chi-sik about his wild dream, but the latter tells him that it’s not a dream. Outside the dumpling store, Chak-hee finds herself standing in front of a closed sign and learns from a neighbour that the owner’s surname is Shin, not Jwa.Intrigued, she breaks into the store to find some sort of evidence. As she photographs some stuff around the store, she finds the cut-off nylon ropes hanging from the ceiling (that Chi-sik used to hang himself) and is left horrified. Exploring further, she finds some photographs and old phone numbers that she also takes photographs of.
She goes to the police station and hands over all the evidence to Kyung-jin, who also learns about Dong-pil’s attack from Jae-ho. Back at Chi-sik’s, he finally reveals to Dal-jae that he is, in fact, the famed torturer Lee Dong-pil, who used unfair methods to get false confessions from innocent people. Dal-jae refuses to believe him, but Chi-sik refuses to budge from his words and asks him to remember – the police are on their way to catch him soon.
On the other hand, Chak-hee gets a hold of Si-baek’s family history, and once in front of him, she asks him who he is and why he murdered Byung-chun. Si-baek, unfortunately, refuses to give up anything in spite of Chak-hee coming up with some damning evidence. Eventually, she also learns of Dong-pil was the one who carried out the murders and not Chi-sik.
Later that night, going through Chi-sik’s photographs, she finds the name Sung-gu Textiles and remembers something interesting.
At her grandmother’s grave, she looks at the picture of Eun Hee-soo, the woman next to her grandmother’s grave, to find Chi-sik beside her, leaving her shocked. Meeting up with a man from Chi-sik’s notebook, she gets the connection she has been looking for all along – Chi-sik and Hee-soo were working at a factory together and were ready to get married when they were all arrested thanks to a mole in their midst.
Hee-soo was murdered while Chi-sik was crippled. And the mole? It was Gi-do. Chak-hee is left absolutely shocked, but a knowing look comes over her face. When she later goes through Gi-do’s interviews, she realizes that Chi-sik’s old friend was right.
She later goes to find Hee-soo’s family registry and, to her horror, realizes that Jwa Si-baek is actually Eun Hee-jun and Han Soo-nae, at the grocery store granny, is his mother. Also, Eun Hee-soo is Si-baek’s (or Hee-jun) sister. Weirdly, Chak-hee goes to ask Soo-nae about her lost family, which causes her to have a breakdown.
May It Please the Court Episode 11 Ending
The next morning, Chak-hee goes to meet Yi-yeon to finally know what happened between her and Byung-chun and the next time we see her, she’s sobbing in front of her grandmother’s grave. As it turns out, her grandmother had figured out the truth about Byung-chun and when she tried to leave, he murdered her. Yi-yeon witnessed all of this and was left feeling helpless for all these years.
Yi-yeon also mentions to Chak-hee that Gi-do knew about all of this. Now sure of what to do, she decides to take all the evidence to Gi-do and starts to blackmail him using Park Duk-man’s murder. He asks what she wants to stay quiet and to return to Jangsan and for all of Byung-chun’s shares.
May It Please the Court Episode 11 Review
With things coming to a quick close, May It Please the Court gives us a delicious set of confusing revelations that, honestly, are great to watch. Although the series hasn’t been as impactful as I would’ve liked, episode 11 is rife with new information that connects the different parts of the show quite well. It’s a simple show, honestly, and most of us probably figured out who did what, but it’s still fun to come to a conclusion in the end. I didn’t make the connection between Si-baek and Chi-sik before this episode, so that was quite shocking.
