Love In Contract Episode 9 takes us back to Ji-ho’s past. Ji-ho moved into a Goshiwon when he entered high school. He met Jung Ji-eun there who was a year younger than him and lived alone as well. They became friends and eventually got married. However, money mattered the most to Ji-eun and she divorced Ji-ho when he didn’t fit in her social status and couldn’t bring her any more connections and money that came along with it.

Ji-eun greets Ji-ho when she sees him enter the hotel but Ji-ho is not interested at all. He holds Sang-eun’s hand and takes her with him. He explains to Sang-eun that he divorced Ji-eun seven years ago and that he has no feelings for her now. Instead of dropping Sang-eun at her home, he drives to his home. Sang-eun volunteers to go by herself and walks for two hours to her home. She doesn’t want to see Madame Yoo and hence, doesn’t go home.

Hae-jin was worried that Sang-eun would feel upset about what happened at the hotel and sneaks out to meet her after finishing his schedule. Ji-ho calls up his counsellor and meets her because his mind is crowded with emotions. The counsellor is glad that Ji-ho is finally coming to terms with his emotions and tells him to confess to Sang-eun. Surprisingly, his counsellor’s brother is his boss and ends up getting drunk with them.

Ji-ho goes to meet Sang-eun and sees Hae-jin, who is wearing a helmet, near Sang-eun and thinks someone is trying to hurt her. He starts punching Hae-jin and they get into a fight. However, Ji-ho is too drunk and falls asleep. Hae-jin takes Ji-ho along with him for his dinner date with Sang-eun. Ji-ho is asleep while Sang-eun and Hae-jin drink and eat. Both drunk, Hae-jin and Sang-eun kiss each other and Ji-ho sees them.

Ji-ho thought it was a dream but Hae-jin tells him that he and sang-eun have mutual feelings for each other. Ji-ho doesn’t know if he can trust Sang-eun. He wonders if Sang-eun does everything only as a part of her work. The next day, Ji-ho runs into Ji-eun as she came to visit Hae-jin. Sang-eun sees him talking with Ji-eun and feels glad when he tells her that he is married. However, she gets disappointed when she hears Ji-ho telling Ji-eun about her profession.

Sang-eun doesn’t meet Hae-jin and tells him on call that kissing him was a drunk mistake. Hae-jin’s family has been pushing him to get married to a businessman’s daughter but he denies his father’s orders. He tells his brother that he is dating Ina group’s Jamie Jung but they have no intention of getting married. On the other hand, Madame Yoo has found out that Sang-eun’s marriage with Gwang-nam is fake. She has been in talks with the Kangjin group’s employees and guesses that Sang-eun could be dating Hae-jin.

Love In Contract Episode 9 Ending

Sang-eun was already upset because Ji-ho and Madame Yoo upset her further by bringing up the topic of marriage and going back to the Ina group. She gets a text message from Ji-ho that he is frustrated that Sang-eun didn’t come home for dinner. He goes to his apartment in an upset mood and meets Ji-ho on his way to meet her at her home. They argue and Ji-ho lets out all of his hidden feelings. He ends up confessing that he likes Sang-eun and kisses her.

Love In Contract Episode 9 Review

Isn’t Love In Contract Episode 9 heart-facing? Ji-ho is a different person not that he is in love. Getting drunk, punching people and arguing with his love interest, nothing can make this episode more exciting. Sang-eun’s life is getting complicated more and more but it looks like all of her problems are to be resolved soon as she has found someone who loves her truly.
