Recap Korean Drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" Episode 3

After that apologizing session in the last episode, Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3 starts off quite happy. Everyone in town seems to be quite in a great mood. So is Hye-jin, who seems to be smitten by Du-sik and rushes out to get the package that he delivers. Well, to be fair, she orders quite a lot of stuff and Du-sik is annoyed with her! She, in turn, calls him a fashion terrorist.

On the day she’s about to go to Seoul, though, Du-sik asks Hye-jin whether she’d give him and three of the older women a ride to Seoul. Well, he invites them himself in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3. In the car, she gets into a road rage incident with another car, and one of the women gives the other driver a piece of her mind. It’s hilarious.

Anyway, while on the trip, the older women constantly go to the restroom which makes Hye-jin late and the constant restroom breaks, too, are absolutely hilarious. Hye-jin goes off to a conference and totally bash her acquaintances who try to mock her. While coming back, she meets up with Du-sik, and one of her acquaintances take pictures of them together.

Next, in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3, the nosy acquaintances ask her who this guy is in the photo and although Hye-jin brushes it off, she can’t help but wonder whether he really is cute or not. Meanwhile, Du-sik remembers how Hye-jin pushed his seat back in the car to help him sleep better. I am a hopeless romantic, I am sorry, but I am shipping these two hard right now

That night, Du-sik jolts up from sleep, presumably due to a nightmare and gets up to take some pills. Is this the conflict that we will get next? Anyway, the next day, Hye-jin meets Du-sik at Chun-jae’s place while Du-sik teaches Chun-jae to make coffee. As she sits down to drink a latte, Du-sik and Hwa-jung take the trash that has been littered in the market to the police station to complain.

 

At the clinic in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3, Choi Eun-cheol comes in for a checkup and Mi-seon, who has a crush on him, is excited. Funnily, she takes care of him and asks him a few questions in the meantime. As he mumbles, she is able to understand all that gibberish! Hye-jin asks her about her crush and she totally fawns over him.

The next day in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3, Du-sik brings a pain-ridden but very angry Gam-ri to Hye-jin’s clinic. After the X-ray, Hye-jin tells them that she needs to get implants. She, however, doesn’t want them since they’re expensive and asks Hye-jin to just take her weak teeth out. However, Hye-jin is annoyed and tells her that if she doesn’t want to spend money on her own treatment then to just leave.

Du-sik goes off on her later and asks her why she couldn’t be nice to Gam-ri and that, even though she isn’t wrong, she could’ve worded it differently. Obviously, this annoys Hye-jin. Meanwhile, in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3, Du-sik tries to pay for Gam-ri’s treatment, but she throws water at him and asks him to get lost.

 

Du-sik calls Hye-jin over that night and asks her to lie to Gam-ri so that he can pay her the rest of the money for the treatment. He tells her that she’s been selfless her entire life and has helped everyone around her and doesn’t know how to take care of herself now. Unfortunately, Hye-jin, who has had a different experience, tells her that being the best parent means taking care of themselves so that they can live long and healthy.

IT’s an emotional moment for both of them as Du-sik understands her point of view as well. It broke my heart for her. The next day in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3, Du-sik goes off to talk to Gam-ri while Hye-jin eats squid and complains about them being too tough. Du-sik’s words get to Gam-ri, who calls her son. Her son, however, is an a-hole who tells her that he cannot pay for his mother’s treatment.

Hye-jin sees Gam-ri’s name on the patient’s list and is curious. She meets Gam-ri in front of her home in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3 who invites her into her home and serves her food. She shows her a tape where she praises Du-sik for helping her learn about her father’s service in the military. Hye-jin and Gam-ri seem to be enjoying each other’s company.

After eating is over, Hye-jin tells her the real reason for her visit. She tells her that she will give her a discount and not to tell anyone. She also tells her that she knows that Gam-ri’s favourite food is squid and her mother loved a similar dish – that’s why she wants her to get the implants and is helping her.

The next day in Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3, Hye-jin is shocked to see Gam-ri at her clinic and she wants to pay the entire amount to her at once! Hye-jin is happy for her but asks her to lay off the squid since it’s hard. Afterwards, Gam-ri calls Du-sik to get her porridge and tells him about Hye-jin and her implants. Du-sik seems to be impressed.

 

That night the lights go out at Hye-jin’s place and, obviously, Du-sik comes over to check it out. While waiting in the dark, both of them have ice cream and then he compares her to a hedgehog. However, he does apologise to her for judging her without knowing anything. AND he gets her other lost pair of shoes as well! We then see how much care he took to take care of and return her shoes. So cute!!

Also, can we talk about the song they have included? It’s absolutely amazing and makes my heart happy!

Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 3 is fluffy and fun with the right amount of conflict and romance to keep it intersting, happy and emotional. I am looking forward to learning more about our characters who seem to have a lot to offer than what we can see right now.
