As Woo-sin faces the disappointment of not finding the Adamas in Jae-kyu’s office, the security measures in Haesong alert Guard Kim of his whereabouts. When Woo-sin tells Tae-sung later in the former’s office that the Adamas isn’t there, a frustrated Tae-sung tells him that headquarters got their hands on a big fish.
Still From Adamas Episode 6
The big fish is Team A Leader Lee’s brother, and Su-hyeon just injected a muscle relaxant into him. Seo-hee, who is just getting to know this, is absolutely shocked at what they are doing, and Ms Lee has to calm her down with a very valid pep talk. For a moment, it seems like she’ll go off and tell someone what is going on, but at the last minute, she remembers that he might be someone who hurt her parents and rethinks her stance.
At Haesong, Tae-sung lets Woo-sin know what is happening at the safe house. However, Woo-sin smells danger – something doesn’t fit well, and he mentions how it’s weird that someone who might just have a connection with the chairman would get caught without any protective measures. As it turns out, he does have a tracker on him, and as several black cars roll into the safe house, Woo-sin mentions that the safe house is in danger.
Of course, there’s a huge ambush at the safe house, and several people are killed before Su-hyeon puts two and two together, and Hyuk-pil realises that it’s Team A out to get them. Things start to move at the speed of light after that until Su-hyeon realises that they have taken Seo-hee. He rushes into the forest to find her, while Seo-hee makes a run for it from her captors.
In a very tense few minutes, the two run through the forest after he finds her, and as they are almost shot down, Ms Lee helps them to flee the scene. Meanwhile, Leader Lee finds out that Su-hyeon was the one who injected his brother with the muscle relaxant and vows to get revenge.
As the safe house blows up thanks to ‘Code Black’, Tae-sung advises Woo-sin that they should get out of the house as soon as possible. Woo-sin, however, is hung up on why they decided to move the Adamas now and decides not to leave the house empty-handed. Tae-sung agrees with him.

Elsewhere, a now-safe Su-hyeon and Seo-hee go to Woo-sin’s house to be safe for the time being. Unfortunately, Leader Lee’s brother dies, and they set out to find Woo-sin to return the favour. On the hand, Hyuk-pil decides not to help Woo-sin, Su-hyeon and Seo-hee for the time being and uses them as bait to catch Team A instead. Miss Lee doesn’t seem to be too fond of the plan but accepts the decision either way.
The next morning at Haesong, Tae-sung tells Woo-sin that his brother is unharmed, while Mrs Oh gets to know that someone was in the chairman’s room and that Mr Kim lied about who it was. Elsewhere, Hye-soo gets slapped by her father for disagreeing to “give the Kwon family any kids”. A flashback to her wedding day proves to be quite the sordid affair. Meanwhile, Hyun-jo’s secret love affair with Ms Yoon proves to be rather sad.
As Jae-kyu shows Byung-chul his place, he later asks him for a name that he’d like to see disappear. It’s definitely an odd question, and it seems like Byung-chul is scared of what he will have to go through once this ‘request’ goes through. Meanwhile, Su-hyeon and Seo-hee are discovered as he goes to ask his colleague for Chang-woo’s records.

At Woo-sin’s Su-hyeon and Seo-hee discuss why Woo-sin would make such a rash decision – he’s not somewhere who is driven by emotions, so why would he put his all into this? Seo-hee mentions that he must feel the same as him – that he must catch the killer, whoever it is, at any cost. It also comes to light why Su-hyeon wants to catch his father’s killer – it’s an emotional story from his childhood that humanises Su-hyeon.
Anyway, Leader Lee gets ready to strike on Woo-sin but is unable to find him anywhere. He realises after a bit that Woo-sin must be working with Su-hyeon and the SIH. Meanwhile, Woo-sin goes into the chairman’s office one last time to look into something important. Once there, however, he walks into something shocking – a whole secret corridor and rushes down it to know where it leads to. At the end of it, he finds Ms Kwon’s room. Combing through the drawers, he finds a photo album with several photos, the last of which is from 2012. He’s confused, but honestly, there’s no time as the security system almost comes up.

He rushes out of the room but, at the very last minute, is caught by Ms Oh, who has also brought Mr Kim there and directly asks him what he was doing at the chairman’s office last night. Meanwhile, Team A secures the Chang-woo file.
Back at Woo-sin’s place, as Su-hyeon tells Seo-hee about Team A, someone rings the doorbell dressed as a delivery person and looking extremely sketchy. The last scene is of Su-hyeon and Seo-hee looking rather tense as she asks him what they should do.

Ok, I see Adamas slowly picking up the pace as more and more things are introduced in the series. Korean dramas are great at packing mysteries within sprawling mansions and rich families, and Adamas is no exception. The Kwon family is an enigma that I want to know more about, and as each episode passes, I am left a little more interested in where the story is going.
Episode 6 is starting to build the tension with Lee now hot on the Song brothers’ tails. Again, Ms Kwon and Jae-kyu’s relationship is hinted at but not revealed – why is there a secret passage between their rooms? Also… is Min-jo their son? Why do I have this sinking feeling that he is? Is that why he was killed? Something is fishy here, and I need to know what!
Either way, a thrilling episode, especially Woo-sin’s exploits around the house keep things rather fun and entertaining. I starting to get a good feeling about this one. Also, that soundtrack is absolutely amazing; it increases the tension tenfold.
