Forecasting Love and Weather episode 4 starts with Si-woo talking about his first job at this workplace – his work was to check for visibility every morning from the same place at the same time. However, external factors caused that visibility to fade over time… something similar might be happening with Ha-kyung. Either way, he wakes up in the morning to a foggy city and an unanswered text.

The ghosting is happening thanks to his question from the other night – what are we to you? Ha-kyung’s answer is that they are colleagues and this feeling is fleeting. She refuses to date another co-worker and although he mentions that she has feelings for him, she shoots that thought down. As Ha-kyung wonders about these things, a huge pileup takes place on the bridge which sends everyone to work. The weather office says that they gave enough warning about visibility issues but Yu-jin’s office has a different plan altogether.
Meanwhile, Ki-jun is probably having a few second thoughts about leaving Ha-kyung, especially when others in the office gossip about how she deserves better than Ki-jun. Anyway, everyone notices how pissed Ha-kyung is with Si-woo but he brushes it off as the reason for his cheekiness. The next moment, though, he continues being cheeky with her as they discuss the warning they should give out the next day about the fog.

That night, as Si-woo stays in the office for longer to give out details about the fog, Ha-kyung shares an uncomfortable elevator ride with Yu-jin. The latter asks her to take an interview in lieu of the article that she’s writing and we can all guess how well that goes. It gets worse when Ki-jun finds a picture of Yu-jin and Si-woo and realizes that his wife lied through her teeth about knowing Si-woo. Meanwhile, Yu-jin decides to write an article on why Korea doesn’t give out fog advisories.
That night, Ha-kyung accidentally video calls Si-woo and after an awkward (and funny) conversation, she asks him to do some work that his colleagues call a waste of time the next day. But fun and games aside, Yu-jin’s article comes up just then and the entire office is in a flurry of activities. Ki-jun’s supervisor is also pissed and berates him for not knowing what his wife has written. Both Ki-jun and Ha-kyung rush to confront Yu-jin.

Both of them have an argument with Yu-jin and Ki-jun promises to take care of the mess to Ha-kyung. Her boss asks her to write a feature stating why they don’t give out fog advisories to (indirectly) refute the article. Ki-jun asks for a copy of her article to come up with a rebuttal. That night, Ha-kyung leaves home and goes to the flat, thanks to her mother’s matchmaking fiasco. She takes Si-woo’s help and works the entire night, only to have him turn up at her flat with pizza.
The morning after, the two wake up in a really good mood. Ha-kyung tells him that it’s over between them if everyone gets to know about their relationship. Si-woo says that he knows and he seems ok with the arrangement. Going back to the topic of visibility – things appear to us how we see it and we get to know that the best as the episode comes to a close. Trust me, it’s going to put a smile on your face.
As the two kiss each other, a sobbing Yu-jin calls Si-woo, which promptly goes unanswered… until a very late Ha-kyung leaves for work. Si-woo picks up her call and looks done with the situation.

I think Forecasting Love and Weather is a fantastic show till now. The way the episodes all resonate with the titles is so sweet. The episodes flow so well and every episode seems like a concrete story of its own, intertwined with the characters’ personal lives. I love how likeable the characters are (except Yu-jin and Ki-jun, but there’s still time) and in spite of their flaws, they are relatable. This episode has been the most astonishing, thanks to the little twist at the end. Honestly, I didn’t see it coming but I am glad beyond words that it did. The way they called back to the beginning and showed us how blinded we were was both surprising and heart-warming. I mean, who doesn’t love an office romance, right?
Also, Song Kang looks so great as this free-spirited guy who has nothing but love for the people around him. The way he looks at Ha-kyung is adorable!
