Perfect Marriage Revenge Episode 9 picks up where the previous episode left off. Yi-joo learns that Jung-hye could have poisoned her as a kid. Additionally, she also learns that Jung-hye arranged for an assailant to kill her and her mother by burning the house so she could have Jin-woong all to herself. As a consequence of the profound impact of this news, Yi-joo blacks out.

Following that, we see Do-guk tending to Yi-joo. He goes on to tell her that she needs to tell Jin-woong that she’s his biological daughter. Yi-joo admits that she has been putting that off for a while. Following that, she agrees to tell him the truth.

On the other hand, Do-guk meets with the perpetrator, whom he released from jail earlier, in an effort to get a confession from him. The perpetrator, however, is unwilling to tell him the truth because he fears returning to prison.

Yi-joo goes to see Jin-woong at the hospital. At first, the security guards refuse to let her into the room. However, Jin-woong asks them to let Yi-joo inside. Thereafter, Yi-joo discloses that she is actually his biological daughter. She even gives him the paternity test she took. When Jin-woong still has doubts, she offers him a lock of her hair and tells him to examine it on his own. In addition, she informs him that Jung-hye plans to assume control of his company.

In the meantime, Jung-hye bribes Woon-jae’s lawyer into siding with her, setting up a trap for him. She then manages to get a hold of Woon-jae, and she locks him away so he can’t help Yi-joo.

Yi-joo attempts to get the majority of the shareholders on her side. It turns out that Jamie, her cooking teacher, has a sizable stake in Hanwool. She seeks help from her teacher as a consequence. As they speak, Yi-joo realizes that Jamie is actually her birth mother. Additionally, Jung-hye finds Jamie alive and is stunned to her core when she sees them together.

The assailant shows up to meet Jung-hye. Following that, Jung-hye tells him that he was unsuccessful in murdering the mother and daughter. He tells her that a good-looking man visited him and questioned him about Jung-hye’s involvement in the fire. Following this, Jung-hye orders him to kill Yi-joo and complete his job.

During the shareholders meeting, Jung-hye creates a commotion by asking the security team to take Yi-joo out of the room. Following this, Jae-won is seen escorting Woon-jae to the meeting. Immediately after that, he tells the security team to back off and leave Yi-joo alone. Following this, he announces that he owns most of the company’s shares and is strongly opposed to Jung-hye replacing Jin-woong.

The Episode Review

In episode 9, Yi-joo meets her birth mother. Additionally, Jung-hye asks an assailant to murder Yi-joo. It is revealed to Jin-woong that Yi-joo is actually his biological daughter.

The episode is quite enjoyable and entertaining. New developments in the plot keep us on the edge of our seats as the episode’s tension approaches a fever pitch. It’ll be interesting to see the direction the storyline takes moving forward.
