“Weak Hero Class 1” star Park Ji Hoon may be starring in a new drama!
On January 16, industry insiders shared that Park Ji Hoon was cast for the lead role in the drama “Bastard” (working title). In response to the report, a source from his agency Maroo Entertainment shared, “It is one of the projects that he has received an offer for.”
Based on a popular webtoon, “Bastard” is a thriller drama that tells the story of Seon Woo Jin, a high school student who lives alone with his father who is a psychopath that has committed murder all his life. The drama depicts the struggles of Seon Woo Jin who resolves to protect Yoon Gyeon, a transfer student who becomes the target of his father’s next murder.
In 2017, Park Ji Hoon debuted as a member of Wanna One through Mnet’s survival program “Produce 101 Season 2.” After the disbandment of the group in 2019, he made his solo debut through his album “O’CLOCK” that same year and has been active as both a singer and an actor since.
Park Ji Hoon appeared in various dramas including “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” “Love Revolution,” “At a Distance, Spring is Green,” and “Weak Hero Class 1,” through which he impressed viewers with his acting skills. Earlier in December 2022, Park Ji Hoon was confirmed to make his debut on the big screen through “Audrey” (literal title), which is set to premiere in 2023.
