tvN’s highly-anticipated drama “Happiness” has finally arrived!
“Happiness” is an apocalyptic thriller that takes place in the near future, set in a high-rise apartment building stratified by social standing. The building is sealed off when a new infectious disease emerges in the city, and the drama depicts the residents’ fear, fierce psychological battles, and desperate struggle for survival within the closed-off building.
Han Hyo Joo stars in the drama as Yoon Sae Bom, a tactical agent in the Seoul Police Special Operations Unit, while Park Hyung Sik stars as Jung Yi Hyun, a detective who is her former high school classmate and has feelings for her.
On November 5, “Happiness” premiered to promising viewership ratings: according to Nielsen Korea, the first episode scored an average nationwide rating of 3.3 percent and a peak of 4.7 percent. The drama also took first place in its time slot across all cable channels among the key demographic of viewers age 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 1.6 percent and a peak of 2.2 percent.
Meanwhile, with just one episode left in its run, SBS’s “One the Woman” stayed strong, continuing a 13-episode streak as the most-watched miniseries of the entire week. The hit comedy starring Honey Lee and Lee Sang Yoon scored an average nationwide rating of 16.7 percent and a peak of 19.2 percent for its penultimate episode.
The series finale of “One the Woman” will air on November 6 at 10 p.m. KST.
