The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from September 7 to October 7.
MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) held onto its spot at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 5,262,482, marking a 8.80 percent increase in its score since September.
High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “Jun Hyun Moo,” “Kian 84,” and “Lee Jang Woo,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “reveal,” “travel,” and “challenge.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 89.50 percent positive reactions.
tvN’s “The Village President’s People” shot to second place after seeing a steep 357.26 percent climb in its brand reputation index since last month, bringing its total score for October to 4,762,453.
SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” held onto its spot at third place with a brand reputation index of 4,533,397, marking a 42.38 percent rise in its score since September.
tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” took fourth place for the month with a brand reputation index of 4,039,531, marking a 14.86 percent increase in its score.
Finally, SBS’s “Running Man” rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 3,505,463, marking an 11.03 percent rise in its score since September.
