NewJeans continues to make history on the Billboard charts with “Get Up”!
Back in August, NewJeans became the fastest female K-pop artist ever to debut on the Billboard 200 when their latest mini album “Get Up” entered the chart at No. 1. Since then, the mini album has enjoyed a steady run on the chart, never once dropping out of the top 50.
For the week ending on September 30, “Get Up” continued its streak by spending its ninth week on the Billboard 200 at No. 42—making NewJeans the first female K-pop artist to chart an album for nine consecutive weeks in the top 50.
“Get Up” also extended its own record on Billboard’s World Albums chart as the K-pop girl group album with the most weeks at No. 1: the EP topped the chart for the eighth non-consecutive week, making it the first album by a female K-pop artist ever to achieve the feat.
Additionally, “Get Up” stayed strong at No. 9 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, No. 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 21 on the Tastemaker Albums chart in its ninth week on all three charts.
On Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Super Shy” ranked No. 15 this week, followed by “ETA” at No. 34, “OMG” at No. 103, “Ditto” at No. 114, “Hype Boy” at No. 150, and “New Jeans” at No. 183. On the Global 200, “Super Shy” held onto its spot at No. 24, with “ETA” rising to No. 63 and “OMG” climbing back up to No. 182.
Finally, NewJeans rose to No. 36 on this week’s Artist 100, marking their 13th overall week on the chart.
Congratulations to NewJeans on their new records!
