The episode starts with Gu-won saving Do-hee and making even God astonished by how things turned out for them. Then we see him and Do-hee living a life of leisure and peace now that they do not have to worry about Gu-won’s powers every time. Gu-won is back again with his cocky remarks and arrogant attitude towards humans. But what is different this time is his apparent devotion towards Do-hee and his care towards her. He does not let her do anything and accompanies her everywhere she goes. He even goes to God and brags about how he was able to get beyond her expectations.
Later, we see Seok-min contemplating how Do-hee and Gu-won managed to escape even the fiery pits. Back at his office, Gu-won has a heartfelt conversation with Bok-gyu, who obviously missed him and did not like the fact that he was willing to sacrifice himself. Gu-won also meets Ga-young but refuses to talk to her.
We finally see Gu-won making another contract with an old man who just wants his Alzheimer ‘s-stricken wife to remember him once so that he can spend her last moments having a conversation as a couple in love. Because of their sad fate, even Gu-won starts to cry, which he vehemently tries to deny. After that, Do-hee and Gu-won wonder how information about where they were, on the day of the accident got leaked and suspect Da-jeong to be the culprit.
They follow her and find out that Da-jeong and Bok-gyu are having their own love story and have been seeing each other since the day, Bok-gyu took her home. After returning, Gu-won and Do-hee themselves have a romantic night, following which Gu-won again dreams about the woman from his past. He then goes to God and asks her why this is happening, only to be told that he must want to become human, which is why he is remembering his past self.
Later, Seok-min comes to Do-hee and tries to initiate business ties with her for the sake of mending relations. She then remembers her past happy days when she got to spend time with Cheon-sook. Then, we also get to know that Do-hee’s father had left Cheon-sook’s company, but on Do-hee’s 11th birthday, he was called back, and while returning from the office, the car got into an accident, killing both Do-hee’s parents.
After that, Seok-hoon visits Do-hee and when he gets to know that Seok-min visited Do-hee, he offers to investigate his motives. He does not get any information out of Seok-min but manages to see the Demon’s handbook in his room and tells that to Do-hee. Do-hee and Gu-won tried to search for that book, but they could not locate it. This is because, sensing Seok-hoon might be working for Do-hee, Seok-min managed to hide it. Somewhere else, Seok-min goes to his son and tells him to take all his share of the blame and surrender to the police. Do-gyeong does that and almost acts maniacal when confronted by Gu-won and Do-hee.
Later, Seok-hoon decides to invite Gu-won for another drink, and on the other hand, Ga-young decides to talk to Do-hee. Both Ga-young and Seok-hoon put their feelings aside and accept Do-hee and Gu-won, respectively, as the partner of their beloved. Gu-won even heals Seok-hoon’s hand.
A shocking thing happened in the end, just as suspected, we get to see the face of the woman that Gu-won loved in his previous life, and it is revealed to be Do-hee. Gu-won then wakes up believing that he’s the one who killed her in their past life.
This episode was very satisfactory as we got a much-needed respite from all the tragic things happening in our main characters’s lives. Hopefully, the bad guys will finally be punished now that Gu-won has powers. I do feel bad about Do-gyeong as he had to take his father’s share of blame.
Other than that, I do not think Gu-won is the one who killed Do-hee. He might just be remembering things wrong. All in all, this was a nice episode that you should not leave out.
