Moon Ga Young will be joining Lee Jong Suk in upcoming legal drama “Seochodong” (literal title)!
“Seochodong” tells a passionate story about associate lawyers who go to work in the Seocho Judicial Town. Written by currently practicing lawyer Lee Seung Hyun, the drama will capture realistic stories as well as the growth of lawyers as they handle cases that could happen in everyday life.
Moon Ga Young will play Kang Hee Ji, a first-year attorney who has just completed her probation at a law firm. Confident and outgoing, Hee Ji’s boldness, honesty, and upbeat personality charm everyone around her. Driven by a desire to protect her loved ones, she gave up her dream of becoming an artist to pursue law. Hee Ji embarks on a dynamic journey of growth, determined to help clients both legally and emotionally.
Known for her heartfelt performances in “The Interest of Love” and “True Beauty,” Moon Ga Young has earned acclaim as a must-watch actress. Her nuanced portrayals have resonated with audiences, offering both empathy and comfort while building a loyal fan base. Directed by Park Seung Woo, known for his detailed storytelling in “Kairos,” “Adamas,” and “W,” the drama features a script by Lee Seung Hyun, based on his personal experiences as a practicing attorney. Lee Jong Suk has been confirmed to star as Ahn Joo Hyung, a ninth-year associate. Additionally, it was also previously announced that Ryu Hye Young is in talks to star in the drama.
Currently, Moon Ga Young is filming her upcoming tvN drama “Black Salt Dragon” (also known as “He’s the Black Dragon”). “Seochodong” is slated to air in the first half of 2025 via tvN.
