Marry My Husband (내 남편과 결혼해줘) tells the story of Kang Ji-won whose life takes a turn when she discovers her husband having an affair with her best friend. However, before she can do anything about it, she is sent to death. That is when she wakes up to find herself 10 years in the past with a chance to make things right. But will she find something more than just revenge?

Following the proposal, Min-hwan recalls how Ji-hyeok intervened when he found out him planning to propose to Ji-won and told him that the company was offering him a stay at a villa. This surprises Min-hwan but he understands that this is because Ji-hyeok likes Ji-won and invites everyone to be a spectator for when he proposes.

However, he too wasn’t aware of the drone show but that doesn’t stop him from accepting everyone’s praises. Later, Ji-won is standing at a pier when Su-min tries to apologise and mend their relationship, only to be refused once again. However, this time she is not ready to let Ji-won go and threatens her by jumping into the lake.

Ji-won jumps behind her and tries to save her but is shocked when Su-min drags her deeper into the lake with a smile on her face. This terrorises Ji-won as she finally gets Su-min out of the lake but cannot forget the smile she gave her. Later, Su-min once again gets into Min-hwan’s bed while Ji-won pours out her fear in front of Ji-hyeok.

Seeing Ji-won in this state, Ji-hyeok takes her out into the lake to witness the sunrise and calm her down. He consoles her by saying how Su-min showed a different side of her because she finally sees Ji-won as a threat and this is a good thing because Ji-won is no longer the person she was in the past. With this, he wishes her a happy birthday and Ji-won thanks him for the best proposal and making this the best birthday after being reborn.

The next day, Ji-won returns to work with the ring on he finger as she goes around showing it off and declaring her engagement to Min-hwan. When Ji-hyeok asks her the reason behind doing so when she is going to eventually break off the engagement, she tells him that it is because their breakup is going to harm him more than her.

She then shares her excitement about going shopping the upcoming weekend where she will make sure to drain Min-hwan’s wallet for the first and last time. She asks him to join her in witnessing Min-hwan’s expression but Ji-hyeok tells her that he has a trip to make during the weekend. Later, everyone in the office shows their excitement towards Min-hwan’s family dinner and expects him to do something big again.

Ji-won too shares her excitement for the same which makes Min-hwan which makes him nervous, while Hee-yeon tells him to take Ji-won shopping before the dinner. Later that day, Su-min visits Ji-won and apologises once again while gifting her a pair of heels as a birthday gift as well as enrolling them both for cooking classes.

Ji-won sees that it is the same pair of heels she found at the door when she died in her previous life and the cooking class Su-min is talking about is the one Min-hwan’s mother goes to regularly. She is amused by Su-min’s actions and puts on a mask while going along with Su-min’s plans. However, she cannot stop her tears later while thinking of how Su-min and Min-hwan continue to blatantly harm her.

It is finally the weekend and Su-min takes Ji-won to the cooking classes where the latter sees Min-hwan’s mother. She pretends to not know her and behaves in the worst possible way while Su-min tries to outshine her throughout the class, giving Min-hwan’s mother a good impression of herself. The woman takes Su-min’s bait and continuously berates Ji-won, however, she is surprised by the result Ji-won produces at the end of the class.

Elsewhere, Joo-ran is in a state of panic as she attends work on the weekend only to get a class from her daughter who is crying from hunger. She rushes home with Suk-joon’s help whom she finds on the way back and finds her irresponsible husband feeding her daughter instant noodles while complaining about her.

Meanwhile, Ji-won finally catches up with Min-hwan after the cooking class and begins her shopping spree as she surprises Min-hwan with the expenditure she is creating for him. Seeing this, Min-hwan tries to get her to pay for the upcoming dinner but sees Eun-ho calling Ji-won. He rushes for her phone and makes plans with Eun-ho to have dinner at his restaurant while talking about the discount that he can get.

Eun-ho is shocked by the news of Ji-won getting married and informs Ha Ye-ji and the others, who had come to find a way to apologise to Ji-won, about the same. He then gets a call from Ji-won who explains to him that he doesn’t need to help with the dinner but Eun-ho welcomes her for the dinner as this is the least he can do for his first love.

On the other hand, Ji-hyeok buys a gift for Ji-won on the way back and rushes to meet his grandfather who is in the hospital. While there, he begins thinking about the loss his family must have experienced due to his accident and is saddened by how he wouldn’t be able to avoid his fate. Later, he makes his way to Ji-won’s house but before he can leave, Ji-won runs into him and realises that something is wrong with him.

She understands that he now has something he wishes to be and while it is not easy to step into this life again, she tells him to think of smaller things to do. She shares how she too was flustered after coming back but slowly made things move and even had food spill all over Min-hwan. Now, getting Min-hwan and Su-min is just a process because all she wants is to be happy.

Listening to her, Ji-hyeok asks to hold hands as that is what he wants to do right now and as they hold hands, he tells her to be happy. The next day, Min-hwan’s mother deliberately plans to leave late and have Ji-won wait for them while Min-hwan witnesses the same but is soon shocked when he gets a message from Su-min who is waiting for him downstairs.

He rushes down and Su-min knows that it is the day of the meeting and tells him to not worry as she wishes him the best and lets him go. Later, Min-hwan arrives at the restaurant to find no one there and calls Ji-won to urge her to hurry up while his parents enter. He makes a reason on Ji-won’s behalf but is soon surprised when Ji-won arrives with a new look.

Ji-won surprises Min-hwan’s mother, Kim Ja-ok, as the latter remembers her as the woman she condemned during the cooking class. Everyone soon takes their seat and Ja-ok begins complaining about Ji-won’s lack of manners due to having no parents to teach her. Ji-won refutes her immediately and also reveals her mother’s affair in the process which leaves Ja-ok shocked.

Min-hwan then asks Ji-won about her clothes and she tells him that she is carrying the bag he bought her which leaves Ja-ok shocked as she realises the money he spent on Ji-won. Later, she begins telling Ji-won about everything she wishes for her to do for Ji-won after they get married and how to be a good wife to her son.

Ji-won accepts it all and also reveals how she won’t be working after getting married as she has enough on her hands. Ji-won also corrects her about the ancestral rites Ja-ok was talking about and reveals that she performs them each year after her father’s passing. Ja-ok berates her and tells her that daughters are not supposed to do these rites, and tells her how her father must have wished for a son.

Ji-won is unable to put up with Ja-ok any longer and calls her out for judging her father in this way. She finally breaks off the marriage and tells her that she has no right to talk about someone else’s child in the way she did, and reminds her once again that she is the one breaking off the marriage and not Ja-ok.

Ji-won then rushes out as Min-hwan chases her while Eun-ho witnesses this from a distance. Min-hwan catches up with Ji-won as he is unable to believe what Ji-won just said, but Ji-won is adamant about breaking up. Thus, when stopped by him again, she grabs him and flips him in the way Ji-hyeok taught her.

With this, Ji-won shocks everyone present there while she stands straight with a proud smile.

Ji-won’s badass look is something we had all been waiting for and seeing her own the stage in this way has left us all satisfied. Ji-won’s revenge is moving smoothly and making us happy, however, Ji-hyeok’s pain and fear are leaving us heartbroken each week.

Ji-hyeok is living this life for Ji-won because he believes that his time is limited which is leaving viewers wishing that he would soon realise that he can live longer. Meanwhile, Su-min and Min-hwan’s actions are getting worse each week; especially so for Su-min who is showing her psychopathic side clearly with every episode. The smile she showed today was creepy and it wasn’t just Ji-won who was left scared by her.

Finally, we come to Yang Joo-ran who is suffering a fate similar to Ji-won’s previous life but is worse as it involves a child as well. Hopefully her knight on a shiny bike saves her soon.
