The star-studded new film “Exhuma” is off to an impressive start at the box office!
“Exhuma” is an occult mystery film about two exorcists (played by Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun), a mortician (Yoo Hae Jin), and a feng shui master (Choi Min Sik) who relocate mysterious graves in exchange for a hefty sum of money.
After topping the Korean box office for the first two days of its release (February 22 and 23), the film has already surpassed 1 million moviegoers. According to the Korean Film Council, “Exhuma” had racked up a total of 1,000,891 moviegoers by the morning of February 24—meaning that it took less than three days to hit the 1 million mark.
Notably, “Exhuma” reached the milestone faster than the recent blockbuster “12.12: The Day,” which was Korea’s biggest box office hit of 2023 (and took about four days to surpass 1 million moviegoers).
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Exhuma”!
