Kim Nam Gil In Talks To Reprise His Character In “The Fiery Priest ” Season 2

Kim Nam Gil might return as his drama character Kim Hae Il in Season 2 of “The Fiery Priest”!

On November 29, industry insiders reported that Kim Nam Gil will reprise his role of Kim Hae Il, the main character of “The Fiery Priest,” in Season 2.

In response to the report, Kim Nam Gil’s agency Gilstory shared, “The actor received an offer to star in ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ and is currently reviewing the offer positively.”

“The Fiery Priest,” which first aired in 2019, is about a Catholic priest with anger management issues and a cowardly detective who work together to solve a murder case.

Starring Kim Nam Gil, Honey Lee, and Kim Sung Kyun, the drama recorded a peak viewership rating of 22.0 percent. At the 2019 SBS Drama Awards, “The Fiery Priest” took home eight awards in total, including lead actor Kim Nam Gil receiving the Daesang (grand prize) for the first time in his career.

Season 2 of “The Fiery Priest” reportedly consists of 12 episodes and is gearing up for filming with the goal of broadcasting next year. Stay tuned for more updates!
