Kim Min Jung Revealed To Have Donated Her Hair To Children With Cancer
Sep 27, 2019
It has been belatedly revealed that Kim Min Jung donated her hair to children with cancer.
A source from Uh Muh Na Movement Organization stated on September 25, “Kim Min Jung willingly donated her hair that she had grown out for a long time to young children fighting cancer.”
Uh Muh Na Movement Organization accepts hair donations, which they turn into wigs and give to children with cancer for free. The name “Uh Muh Nah” is an acronym for “Donating Hair To Young Children With Cancer.”
Children who are on chemotherapy often shave their heads in order to lessen the psychological pain of losing their hair. In order to improve treatment outcomes, it is more effective to wear antibacterial wigs. However, antibacterial human hair wigs come at a high price, thus putting financial burden on the families of the patients.
Since being founded in 2014, Uh Muh Na Movement Organization makes one to two wigs a month to give to children with cancer. Many celebrities in addition to Kim Min Jung have also participated in this meaningful campaign.
A source from the organization said, “Kim Min Jung found out that a wig can give hope of full recovery to children with cancer who suffer from hair loss. In the midst of a busy schedule with filming dramas and commercials, Kim Min Jung is said to have passionately shown her willingness to help by searching different ways to donate hair and more.” The source continued, “We still need more warm hands of help that can give hope to children who suffer from cancer.”
