Jeon Do Yeon In Talks To Lead New Drama After Song Hye Kyo And Han So Hee’s Departure

 

Jeon Do Yeon may star in “The Price of Confession” (literal title)!

On December 20, STARNEWS reported that Jeon Do Yeon will take over the lead role in the upcoming mystery thriller drama “The Price of Confession” following the departure of Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee from the series.

In response to the report, Jeon Do Yeon’s agency Management SOOP shared, “She has received an offer [to star in the drama] and is currently reviewing it.”

“The Price of Confession” depicts the bloody chronicle of two women surrounding a murder case. Originally, the drama was slated to be helmed by director Lee Eung Bok of “Descendants of the Sun.” However, in January, he declined the offer due to scheduling conflicts.

In 2022, Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee were first revealed to be in talks for the drama. In March 2023, the two actresses then amped up excitement for their union after they shared an image taken together along with the text “The Price of Confession” on their Instagram Stories.

However, in May, it was confirmed that both actresses decided to step down from the project after extensive discussions, and the production was temporarily halted. Currently, director Lee Jung Hyo of “Crash Landing on You” and “Doona!” has taken on the role of the new director for the project.
