The premiere of Part 2 of Netflix’s hit series “The Glory” is quickly approaching!
First released this past December, “The Glory” is hit writer Kim Eun Sook’s newest project that tells the story of a former victim of brutal school violence who swears revenge on her bullies after becoming the elementary school homeroom teacher of her bully’s kid. Song Hye Kyo stars as the vengeful protagonist Moon Dong Eun, while Lee Do Hyun plays the complicated male lead Joo Yeo Jeong. Lim Ji Yeon leads the posse of Moon Dong Eun’s school bullies as Park Yeon Jin, alongside Park Sung Hoon, Cha Joo Young, Kim Hieora, and Kim Geon Woo.
As fans earnestly await the second half of Moon Dong Eun’s intense revenge, here are three intriguing points to keep an eye on!
In Part 1 of “The Glory,” chaos ensued within the group of Moon Dong Eun’s bullies when Son Myung Oh (Kim Geon Woo), one of their members, suddenly disappeared. As Son Myung Oh was the most vulnerable and neglected member of the bunch, Moon Dong Eun intentionally approached him to use him in suffocating his fellow perpetrators. As Son Myung Oh has carefully walked the dangerous tightrope between Moon Dong Eun and the group of perpetrators, viewers are left wondering what has happened to him and who saw him last.
Additionally, now that the police have begun their investigation into Son Myung Oh’s disappearance, Park Yeon Jin’s posse of bullies is slowly starting to suspect one another. How will the tension among Moon Dong Eun’s perpetrators affect her master plan for revenge?
At the end of Part 1, there was a lot of focus on Park Yeon Jin’s husband Ha Do Young (Jung Sung Il), who finally learned that Moon Dong Eun had approached him intentionally. Although he looks nice, Ha Do Young was revealed to be a complex character who uses others by judging them on their status and how much power they have. Because he has so much, Ha Do Young has that much more to lose, raising questions about how he will respond to Moon Dong Eun’s plan for revenge. As Ha Do Young has “silk wings that can create a typhoon,” stay tuned to find out whether he will become Moon Dong Eun’s savior and what final reason is holding him back from doing so.
After Joo Yeo Jeong firmly decided to become Moon Dong Eun’s executioner in Part 1, viewers were left hanging to see how the character will act in the drama’s second half. In the drama’s newly released teaser and stills, Park Yeon Jin was shown visiting Joo Yeo Jeong’s plastic surgery clinic, raising anticipation to see how their meeting will go. Part 2 will also capture Joo Yeo Jeong getting revenge on the murderer who killed his father.
Another key aspect for Part 2 is Kang Hyeon Nam (Yeom Hye Ran), a victim of domestic violence whose deep bruises in new teasers has left viewers worried. In the drama’s next half, viewers can look forward to seeing Kang Hyeon Nam deepen her relationship with Moon Dong Eun and finally take action against her husband. Stay tuned to see whether there’s glory and peace at the end of this tiresome road of revenge for these three victims.
“The Glory” Part 2 premieres via Netflix on March 10.
