The cast lineup has been confirmed for “Made in Korea”!
Disney+’s original series “Made in Korea” follows the story of Baek Ki Tae, a man driven by ambition for wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Geon Young, who sacrifices everything to stop him, as they confront a monumental event in the turbulent 1970s.
Along with Jung Woo Sung who was confirmed for the drama back in February, Hyun Bin, Won Ji An, Seo Eun Soo, Cho Yeo Jeong, and Jung Sung Il have now also been confirmed for the cast.
Hyun Bin, known for his performances in hits like “The Point Men,” “Crash Landing on You,” and “Secret Garden,” takes on the role of Baek Ki Tae, promising a new and different persona. Jung Woo Sung, an acclaimed actor for his roles in “12.12: The Day,” “A Man of Reason,” and “Hunt,” plays prosecutor Jang Geon Young, adding depth to the series with his animalistic instincts and fierce determination.
Won Ji An, who has built up a strong filmography with productions such as “A Year-End Medley,” the “D.P.” series, and “If You Wish Upon Me,” portrays lobbyist Choi Yu Ji. Seo Eun Soo of “The Witch : Part2. The Other One,” “Kingmaker: The Fox of the Election,” and “Unlock My Boss” has been cast as investigator Oh Ye Jin. Cho Yeo Jeong, who has showcased versatile acting through productions like “Parasite,” “Cheat On Me, If You Can,” and “High Class,” is confirmed to play Bae Geum Ji. Jung Sung Il of “The Glory,” “Our Blues,” and “Moonshine” completes the cast with his role as chief secretary Cheon Seok Joong.
“Made in Korea” is the first drama created by hit film director Woo Min Ho of “Inside Men,” “The Man Standing Next,” “Harbin,” and more. It is set to be released in 2025 via Disney+.
