MBC’s “Doubt” has revealed a new glimpse of Han Suk Kyu and Oh Yeon Soo’s final conversation.
“Doubt” is a new psychological thriller starring Han Suk Kyu as Korea’s top criminal profiler Jang Tae Soo), who unexpectedly discovers that his daughter Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin) is hiding a secret related to a murder case that he is investigating.
The previous episode of “Doubt” ended with a shocking revelation. Ha Bin caught her father off guard by bluntly telling him she couldn’t trust him, then revealing that she knew he’d met her late mother Yoon Ji Soo (Oh Yeon Soo) on the day she died. When Ha Bin pointedly asked why he’d met his ex-wife that day, Tae Soo froze on the spot—and a brief flashback to that tragic night showed Tae Soo telling Ji Soo, “If you want to die so badly, then just die.”
In newly released stills from the next episode, the drama returns to the fateful night when Ji Soo and Tae Soo shared their last conversation.
Ji Soo, who is clearly in the midst of an emotional breakdown, sobs on the floor with her head in one hand. Tae Soo then grabs her by the arms and yells at her—but when she goes on to say something unexpected with a hollow expression, Tae Soo stares at her in shock, piquing curiosity as to what she could have told him to elicit such a reaction.
The “Doubt” production team teased, “The reason why Tae Soo kept pressing and pushing Ji Soo [that night], the reason why Ji Soo felt like she wanted to die, and the final conversation between the couple will all be revealed.”
Praising the two actors, they went on, “Han Suk Kyu and Oh Yeon Soo poured all of their emotions into their passionate acting. Their passionate performances made the final conversation between Ji Soo and Tae Soo even more dramatic and emotional. You’ll be able to see the acting synergy between the two of them [in this scene].”
To find out what the couple had to say to one another in their final conversation, catch the next episode of “Doubt” on November 1 at 9:50 p.m. KST!
