(G)I-DLE Surpasses 1.8 Million Stock Pre-Orders + Breaks Personal Record With “2”

(G)I-DLE has reached an impressive new milestone with their upcoming album!

On January 24, JYP Entertainment officially announced that (G)I-DLE’s second full-length album “2” had surpassed 1.8 million stock pre-orders, marking the group’s highest number of stock pre-orders for an album to date.

The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to an album’s release. The figure is the estimated demand calculated using various factors, including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans.

In addition to setting a new personal record for (G)I-DLE, who recorded 1.1 million stock pre-orders for their previous mini album “I feel” last year, “2” has now tied the record for the second-highest stock pre-orders of any girl group album in history. At present, the album is tied with aespa’s “MY WORLD,” which also surpassed 1.8 million stock pre-orders last year (and has currently been bested only by BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK,” which recorded over 2 million stock pre-orders in 2022).

(G)I-DLE will be returning with “2” and its title track “Super Lady” on January 29 at 6 p.m. KST.
