Future Episode 1 begins with Ana (Anakhot) staring at his phone screen while looking at Fuse’s photos, a guy he has a big crush on. Two of his best friends join him and tease him about Fuse. They ask Ana what he is doing, and he tries to play it off.
The guys drag him along as they head home, take a detour in the engineering college, and see Fuse as he passes by with his friend. When he does, the scene shifts forward 1 year later.
Elsewhere, Gun is sitting in the common area of the school. Fuse joins him and asks why he doesn’t have a boyfriend yet. He goes on to quiz whether he’s handsome, Soon their friends join and there’s plenty more teasing.
Ana works as a receptionist at his father’s dental practice elsewhere. Fuse comes in and asks Ana in a cocky manner if he is handsome, and Ana replies that he is good-looking. Fuse asks why he is still single and if he can get a partner with his face, to which Ana replies with a lot of confidence, ‘why don’t you try it with me?’.
Fuse takes them out for lunch and they get to know each other, as Fuse boldly promises to pursue Ana. That evening after Ana gets out of the shower, he finds a message asking him if it is accurate, and they direct him to the University’s gossip page to find a post written about them.
Fuse had posted on his page that he was pursuing someone from the medical department. His friends below that post then tease him about Ana. Ana tells his friends that it’s true Fuse is dating him onwards.
The next day in school, Fuse is smiling at his phone, and his friends tease him about it, telling him that he is into Ana too much. They say to him that the level of cuteness with Ana might be a hindrance. He is left alone by his friends with his fantasies. Gun and Bar join him, and Gun warns not to take Ana for a ride and to be serious about him as he has had an unlucky history with love, even with his beautiful, cheerful personality.
Elsewhere Ana is studying and Fuse walks in and flirts with him for a while. He then orders some green tea in the café and flirts with Ana. He stares at Ana all the time while he is studying. Afterwards, they head out to a pharmacy and Ana helps an older woman pay for her grandkid’s medicine, and they get their medication and supplies.
As they head home, Ana takes Fuse to his faculty building to be with his friends, and they flirt some more. Fuse appreciates Ana’s actions today paying for the stranger’s medicine.
The next day in school, Ana’s friends bug him about Fuse and the progress of their relationship, and Fuse chooses that moment to show up and take Ana out for dinner. The friends leave for a case study.
In the meantime, Fuse and Ana head out to the market, and Fuse continues to flirt with him. They meet a mutual person who is disrespectful towards Ana and says he sleeps with the man he is in a relationship with on the second date. A fight almost breaks out but Ana holds Fuse back to prevent him from punching. Ana explains that everything is true, but Fuse reassures him that he only cares about his feelings.
The episode ends with Fuse giving Ana a doll with the cute nickname, “Crispy Ana” to cheer him up.
Future starts this cute drama with potential, and we have a story about Ana that will either break or build their relationship. It’s certainly intriguing, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing how they handle communication between them.
Given that the show is expected to have 5 episodes, we can only assume that the relationship between the leads will be fast-paced. It is important to note that the show is a side story from the Love Mechanics story, and a special episode already aired on March 13th so you might want to check that first before watching this one!
