FNC Entertainment Denies Rumors That Lee Jong Hyun Sexually Harassed People
Mar 16, 2019
On March 16, FNC Entertainment responded to the rumors spreading online that CNBLUE’s Lee Jong Hyun had sexually harassed and/or sexually assaulted people.
The agency stated, “The rumors about Lee Jong Hyun on the Internet are not true. He has acknowledged what he did wrong and is reflecting on his mistakes. We intend to take strong legal action against the netizens who are spreading malicious and false information.”
The rumors were fueled by videos that allegedly showed Lee Jong Hyun inappropriately touching female singers and a DC Inside post from October 2018 that claimed Lee Jong Hyun had had sexual relations with not only female singers but female fans. The post also claimed that Lee Jong Hyun and Jung Joon Young had sexually assaulted an underage female fan by giving her a sleeping pill.
The post resurfaced after Lee Jong Hyun was revealed to have received illegally taken sexual videos of women in one-on-one chatrooms with Jung Joon Young and sexually objectified women in conversations with the same. FNC Entertainment released a statement in response to this report after initially denying any connection between Lee Jong Hyun and Jung Joon Young.
