Flex X Cop Episode 10 Recap

At the actress’ house, I-soo and Kang-hyun learn her kind side and how she is being portrayed as a bad person. She says to them that Yura asked her to slap them because of a scene they were about to shoot. When the veteran actress slapped Yura for practise, the makeup artist misunderstood and conveyed to the cops. Regarding the DNA print beneath Yura’s nail, the veteran actress says that it’s because Yura applied a rash cream. Kang-hyun confirms with the forensic doctor that it is indeed a rash cream detail.

Now that the veteran actress is off the list, the cops get highly suspicious of Ha Namsu, especially after receiving from Yura’s manager, the stalking texts he sent to her. Kang-hyun and I-soo understand that Yura was about to leak the texts of Namsu forcing her to be his girlfriend which might have led him to order someone to kill her. But since he has a strong alibi, the cops wonder how to catch the culprit.

I-soo and Kang-hyun visit Yura’s father and have a conversation with him. I-soo finds a hidden camera on Yura’s bed but doesn’t tell about it to Kang-hyun initially. They learn that the father is getting calls from strangers saying mean things to him. Upon hearing this, the cop duo promise him that they will find the criminal.

The following day, the detectives learn that Yura saw two videos before getting murdered and that they were uploaded to the cloud. Kyung-jin contacts the cloud office and gets details about the file name and not the file itself because apparently it has been deleted. The file name says “HCV” which makes I-soo remember the hidden camera at Yura’s place. They check Yura’s villa CCTV and learn that her manager has been sneaking inside her home everyday.

They realise that he is indeed the possible killer but to confirm whether he has a motive to kill her, I-soo and Kang-hyun decide to check out his apartment. Using I-soo’s influence, Kang-hyun and I-soo get inside the manager’s apartment while he is out and they see photos of him and Yura edited together to seem they’re married. There is also a fake marriage certificate of him and Yura, various cutouts of the late actress and her photos. Kang-hyun retrieves the SD card from his place and downloads the videos that went missing in Yura’s phone.

They return to the station and check out the video only to find the manager sniffing Yura’s clothes and acting like a pervert. While this evidence is there to prove he is a pervert, it doesn’t confirm that he is the killer hence I-soo comes up with a plan to resume the shooting and set up a memorial service for Yura.

On the day of the memorial service at the shooting spot, all the crew members except the manager are aware of the murderer’s identity and so act accordingly. Kang-hyun dresses like Yura, making the manager believe he is hallucinating. He then recalls the day of the murder revealing that he had to kill her as she found out his dirty motives. After his confession, the cops arrest him and the reporter that Kang-hyun promised earlier gets hot news for the press.

Kang-hyun wonders why Yeonghwan slept at the shooting spot and I-soo reveals the truth to her. He releases Yeonghwan but sends him to de-addiction, causing a split in their friendship. That night, Kang-hyun gives I-soo some advice and he returns back to home. He starts remembering all the beautiful memories he spent with his mother.

Later that night, Kang-hyun gets a call from a man who agrees to reveal the truth regarding a crime that happened a few years ago. They decide to meet up by the river but before he can come to her, some men murder him.

Flex X Cop Episode 10 Review

Every case is super thrilling in this series. We get to see various mysteries solved along with the personal life stories of the cops, especially I-soo. I-soo still has certain things to discover about his mother’s death which will be the focus from the next episodes onwards. Through Yura’s case, he learned from a shaman that his mother’s soul is now at peace and that some truth will follow him soon.

Kang-hyun is about to discover something from a case that she’s been working hard on. With all this going, I-soo and Kang-hyun’s romance will also kickstart soon. Seung-ju seems kind till now but even he might get tired and react in a way that will make I-soo wonder who to trust.
