Famed Speed Skater Lee Sang-hwa to Tie the Knot in October

Speed skater Lee Sang-hwa will tie the knot with singer-turned-personality Kang-nam this fall, their management agencies said in separate press releases on Thursday.

Their wedding will be held at a hotel in Seoul on Oct. 12.

After revealing their romantic relationship in March, speculation about their impending marriage emerged, as her Japan-born boyfriend applied for Korean citizenship.

The two-time Olympic medalist in women's 500-m speed skating announced her retirement in May.
