SBS’s “Connection” has exciting news with behind-the-scenes photos and the announcement of a 100-minute broadcast for its final episode!
“Connection” is a crime thriller starring Ji Sung as Jang Jae Kyung, a well-respected detective who is the ace of the narcotics unit. Although Jang Jae Kyung is a trusted detective who cares deeply about his principles, his world is turned upside down when he is kidnapped and forcibly addicted to a mysterious new drug against his will.
Previously, Jang Jae Kyung and Oh Yoon Jin (Jeon Mi Do) discovered that Jung Sang Eui (Park Keun Rok) was the Doctor. Jung Sang Eui pleaded with them not to arrest him until he could gather evidence against Park Tae Jin (Kwon Yool), who was using him as a front for the Lemon Mulberry drug business.
Meanwhile, Park Tae Jin and Won Jong Soo (Kim Kyung Nam) sought assistance from Oh Chi Hyun (Cha Yup) to handle Jung Yoon Ho (Lee Kang Wook). Jung Yoon Ho was wanted for murdering the mill owner and attempting to kill Choi Ji Yeon (Jung Yoo Min). Despite initial hesitation, Oh Chi Hyun ultimately had to fatally confront Jung Yoon Ho, who resisted fiercely until the end, causing significant shock.
Newly released behind-the-scenes photos reveal the cast’s off-screen work and dedication to their roles. In the portrayal of Jang Jae Kyung, a top detective in the narcotics team struggling with drug addiction, Ji Sung displays unwavering commitment to his role. He is always seen with the script in hand, dedicated to fully embodying his character. His diligence is evident in his frequent and thorough discussions with the staff, ensuring they craft the most compelling scenes possible.
Jeon Mi Do portrays Oh Yoon Jin, a determined journalist who, after her divorce, focused on earning money to reunite with her daughter. However, Oh Yoon Jin underwent a transformation to pursue the truth alongside Jang Jae Kyung. On set, Jeon Mi Do’s heartfelt actions include warmly greeting Baek Ji Won, a former theater colleague who portrays CEO Yoon in the drama, during her visit to the filming set.
Kwon Yool, Kim Kyung Nam, and Cha Yup showcase their delightful chemistry, stepping away from their roles as the conflict-provoking trio on-screen. Kwon Yool portrays Park Tae Jin, the ambitious prosecutor and brain of the inner circle, Kim Kyung Nam plays Won Jong Soo, the ambitious son of Geumhyung Group’s chairman and leader of the inner circle, and Cha Yup depicts Oh Chi Hyun, the inner circle’s action leader and Jong Soo’s secretary. They reveal a charming twist, displaying cheerful camaraderie distinct from their intense characters. The trio, recognized for their commanding presence, capture a heartwarming moment with gentle smiles behind a poignant funeral scene, showcasing their off-screen bond.
“Connection” further announced that its final episode will be a 100-minute special broadcast. The episode is set to feature intense conflicts, relentless pursuit of truth, hidden mysteries, and a compelling finale that will keep viewers captivated until the end.
