Choo Young Woo and Kim Jae Won are set to captivate audiences with contrasting charms in the upcoming JTBC drama “The Tale of Lady Ok”!
“The Tale of Lady Ok” tells the intense survival con game of runaway slave Goo Deok Yi (Lim Ji Yeon), who assumes the identity of Lady Ok Tae Young after faking her name, status, and even her husband, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her.
The newly released stills capture the two men who will be intricately entangled with Lady Ok Tae Young, Cheon Seung Hwi and Sung Do Kyeom (Kim Jae Won). Cheon Seung Hwi is a celebrated storyteller with breathtaking looks and innate talent. Known for his captivating performances that blend storytelling, music, and dance, Seung Hwi’s appearances stir excitement across towns, earning him celestial fame.
However, beneath his illustrious persona lies the heart of Joseon’s ultimate romantic. Having harbored deep feelings for the fake Ok Tae Young since her days as a servant, he is willing to sacrifice everything to protect her—even as she embarks on a dangerous web of lies.
Meanwhile, Sung Do Kyeom is the second son of the local magistrate and Ok Tae Young’s brother-in-law. From a young age, he was mature beyond his years and as he grew, he excelled academically and gained fame for his impressive achievements. He even passed the state exams with flying colors and returned home as a distinguished scholar, becoming the most sought-after bachelor in Cheongsuhyeon.
Sung Do Kyeom’s greatest motivation is his respect and affection for his sister-in-law Ok Tae Young, who has been a steadfast support to him and his family since childhood. Unaware of her lies, his unwavering admiration for her raises questions about the challenges he will face as the truth begins to unravel.
“The Tale of Lady Ok” will premiere on November 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
