The upcoming drama “The Tyrant” has offered a sneak peek into the characters portrayed by Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, and Jo Yoon Soo!
“The Tyrant” is a chase action drama that unfolds after the final sample from a program called the “Tyrant Program” disappears due to a delivery mishap. This sets off a chain of pursuits involving individuals with different motives, each competing to secure the sample.
Directed by Park Hoon Jung, known for acclaimed works like “New World” and “The Witch” movie series, “The Tyrant” initially began filming with the intention of being made into a movie. However, as production progressed, the decision was made to adapt it into a four-part series format to fully encapsulate the thrilling narrative, multifaceted characters, and progressive storytelling.
Cha Seung Won will take on the role of Im Sang, a former agent tasked with eliminating the forces linked to the Tyrant Program.
Kim Seon Ho will showcase his mysterious charm as Director Choi, a figure connected to a government agency but operating unofficially as the mastermind behind the Tyrant Program.
Kim Kang Woo injects suspense into the narrative as Paul, a member of an overseas intelligence agency determined to eliminate the last remaining sample of the Tyrant Program.
Completing the ensemble is rookie actress Jo Yoon Soo, who portrays the skilled engineer Ja Kyung, tasked with stealing the last sample from the Tyrant Program.
Disney+’s original series “The Tyrant” is set to be released in the second half of 2024.
