BTS’s Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You” has returned to No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart!
On December 27 local time, Billboard announced that “Standing Next to You” had climbed back up to the top of its Digital Song Sales chart, meaning it was the best-selling song of the week in the United States.
“Standing Next to You” has now spent five non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart (and seven weeks on the chart overall), tying Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers” for the 2023 song with the most weeks at No. 1.
“Standing Next to You” also debuted at No. 39 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States. Jungkook landed a total of three songs in the top 40 this week: aside from “Standing Next to You,” his The Kid LAROI and Central Cee collab “Too Much” held steady on the chart at No. 18, while his pre-release single “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) stayed strong at No. 22.
Jungkook also landed three songs each on both of Billboard’s global charts. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Standing Next to You” came in at No. 11, “Seven” (featuring Latto) at No. 12, and “3D” at No. 36; on the Global 200, “Standing Next to You” charted at No. 17, “Seven” at No. 29, and “3D” at No. 63.
Over on Billboard’s Hot 100, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States, “Standing Next to You” climbed back up to No. 79 in its seventh consecutive week on the chart.
Meanwhile, Jungkook’s solo debut album “GOLDEN” climbed back up to No. 39 in its seventh consecutive week on the Billboard 200—making him the first Korean soloist in history to spend seven weeks in the top 50.
Jungkook has also become the first K-pop soloist ever to spend 19 weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he rose to No. 24 this week.
Finally, “GOLDEN” stayed strong at No. 12 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart and No. 17 on the Top Album Sales chart in its seventh week on both charts.
Congratulations to Jungkook!
