BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s solo debut album has racked up an incredible number of first-week sales!
Last week, Jisoo made her long-awaited solo debut with her first single album “ME” on March 31—and within just five days, she had already become the first female soloist in Hanteo history ever to sell a million copies of an album.
Hanteo Chart has now reported that in the first week of its release (March 31 to April 6), “ME” went on to sell an impressive total of 1,172,351 copies, setting a new record for the highest first-week sales by a female soloist.
Even including groups, “ME” achieved the second-highest first-week sales of any album by a female artist in all of Hanteo history. Only one album by a female artist has sold more copies in its first week: Jisoo’s own group BLACKPINK’s latest album “BORN PINK.”
Congratulations to Jisoo on her amazing achievement!
