MBC’s upcoming drama “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” has shared an intriguing glimpse of Bae In Hyuk and Lee Se Young’s first meeting!
Based on the web novel of the same name, “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” is a time-slip romance drama about the contractual marriage between bachelor Kang Tae Ha (played by Bae In Hyuk) and Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young), who has traveled to modern day from 19th century Joseon.
Before she inadvertently crash-lands in present-day Seoul, Park Yeon Woo lives a privileged life in the Joseon era as the only daughter of the Minister of the Interior, who has not yet gotten married despite getting older. However, the strong-willed Park Yeon Woo secretly leads a double life as the “butterfly teacher,” who sells clothing and embroidered goods that she has made using her expert craftsmanship.
In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Park Yeon Woo and her future husband Kang Tae Ha share an unforgettable first encounter by the wall of Kang Tae Ha’s house. Despite her status, Park Yeon Woo is dressed in the shabby clothing of a commoner, and she can’t hide her shock at seeing Kang Tae Ha.
But when Kang Tae Ha grabs Park Yeon Woo by the arm and turns her to face him, Park Yeon Woo boldly covers Kang Tae Ha’s mouth with her hand as if to keep him quiet. Within this tense moment, the frantic, determined look on Park Yeon Woo’s face suggests she is at risk of being caught by someone, while the visibly bewildered Kang Tae Ha seems to have no idea what’s going on.
The producers of “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” teased, “Finding out what kind of relationship will develop between Park Yeon Woo and Kang Tae Ha as they go back and forth between 19th-century Joseon and the 21st-century present will be the most fun part of watching the drama.”
“The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” premieres on November 24 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Dramacool.
