The battle for weekend drama ratings is heating up!
On December 18, viewership ratings for tvN’s “Alchemy of Souls Part 2” rose to a new all-time high with its fourth episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the hit fantasy drama scored an average nationwide rating of 8.5 percent, marking a new personal record for the season.
“Alchemy of Souls Part 2” also took first place in its time slot across all cable channels among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 3.8 percent.
Meanwhile, TV Chosun’s new drama “Red Balloon” enjoyed a significant rise in viewership for its second episode. Despite facing stiff competition from “Alchemy of Souls Part 2,” which airs in the same time slot, “Red Balloon” climbed to an average nationwide rating of 4.5 percent for the night.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Three Bold Siblings” rose to an average nationwide rating of 22.5 percent for the night.
