7 New Korean Dramas Release April 2019

So the April has come! Let’s see what are the updates for this month in the drama world. April has made sure to bring us the variety of Kdramas. With some being a social issue like bullying, romance between a con-man and a police officer, a historical and our Park Min Young will be seen living a double life in her new drama “Her Private Life”.

Ohh! and this time we also have a Netflix original Korean drama “Because This Is My First Love”. Woow! What more can you ask!

Each month bring amazing dramas, but this month I’m really confused which one should I chose. Let’s see them in detail now (make sure to save the April 2019 Korean drama calendar list given at the end of the article)

1. My Fellow Citizens

‘My Fellow Citizens’ (or ‘Dear Citizens’) is a comedy cum crime drama in which a con man Yang Jung Kookmarries the police officer Kim Mi Young and he somehow end up running for an assembly seat. Choi Siwonwill play the role of a con man. Lee Yoo Young will be the police officer and Kim Min Jung plays the role of a woman who will help Yang Jung Kook for the assembly seat.

2. Beautiful World

“Beautiful World” will tell the story of Park Sun Ho (Nam Da-reum) who is in his final year of middle school. He faces school violence which leaves him on a cliff between life and death. Park Soo Ho (Kim Hwan-hee) is Park Sun Ho’s sister. They both study in the same school. She tries to help Park Sun Ho regarding the violence in school.

Genre: Melodrama, Family, Social issue drama

3. Special Labor Inspector Jo

“Special Labor Inspector Jo Jang-Poong” is a story about a judo athlete Jo Jin-Gab (Kim Dong-Wook) who while fighting against corruption in sports was expelled from his field. He then becomes a gym teacher but soon loses that job due to his short temper against the school’s chairman’s son. In order to live a stable life he then becomes a public officer where he was transferred to work as a labor inspector at the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

4. Her Private Life

Korean drama “Her Private Life” will tell the story of Sung Deok Mi (Park Min young) a museum curator but she is also a crazy fan girl of idols since 20 years and no one knows about it. Due to her fangirling she has gone through many breakups. Ryan Gold (Kim Jae Wook) is a new art director at the museum. He is of cold personality but he takes interest in Sung Deok Mi. He also finds out the fangirling secret of Sung Deok Mi.

5. Because This Is My First Love

“My First First Love” will tell the story of five friends Yun Tae-O (Ji Soo), Song-Yi (Jung Chae-Yeon), Do-Hyun (Jin Young), Ga-Rin (Choi Ri) and Hoon (Kang Tae-Oh) who are in their youth. Each having their own reason, leaves their house and end up living together at Yun Tae-O house. There they gain new experiences about love, friendship and everything.

Genre: Youth, Romance, life drama

6. Mung Bean Flower

“Mung Bean Flower” will tell the story of Baek Yi Kang and Baek Yi Hyun. Baek Yi Kang and Baek Yi Hyun are both brothers. Baek Yi Kang (Jo Jung Suk) is the son of his father’s second wife who was his slave before. He is of cold attitude. Baek Yi Hyun (Yoon Shi Yoon) who is the younger brother is the son of his father’s first wife. They both get separated during the Donghak Peasant’s Movement in 1894. Han Ye Ri will play the role of Song Ja In who runs a shop.
