“My Happy Ending” is gearing up for some intense turning points in its next episodes!
“My Happy Ending” is a psychological thriller about a woman who faces a shocking truth after being betrayed by those she trusted. Jang Nara stars as the fiercely ambitious Seo Jae Won, a self-made furniture company CEO and influencer who has been passionately chasing success after enduring an unfortunate childhood.
With only four episodes left until its conclusion, here are three turning points to anticipate in “My Happy Ending”!
Warning: mentions of sexual violence.
In the last broadcast of “My Happy Ending,” Seo Jae Won heightened the tension by embarking on an intense revenge mission to uncover the truth about her husband Heo Soon Young’s (Son Ho Jun’s) death. First, Seo Jae Won set up a clever counterattack by having Kwon Young Ik (Kim Myung Soo) deal with Kim Sang Bum (Heo Hyung Gyu), the biological father of her daughter Heo Ah Rin (Choi So Yul), who had drugged and sexually assaulted her in a hotel room seven years ago.
She then visited Kwon Yoon Jin (So Yi Hyun) and hinted that she knew Nam Tae Joo (Park Ho San) was involved in Heo Soon Young’s death. Later, she anonymously leaked information about Kwon Young Ik’s corruption to a powerful politician and secretly moved Baek Seung Gyu (Oh Hyun Joong), who would testify against Kwon Yoon Jin, to a safe house. She then delivered a chilling blow to Kwon Young Ik by playing the voice recording of Kwon Yoon Jin and Kwon Young Ik’s conversation at the time of Baek Seung Gyu’s fall.
However, while Seo Jae Won was seeking revenge, she was kidnapped by Kwon Young Ik. Now, viewers’ attention is focused on how Seo Jae Won will escape from captivity and what kind of counterattack she will launch against the villainous father and daughter.
Kwon Yoon Jin, whose viciousness and maliciousness increase day by day, is another important turning point to anticipate in the remaining four episodes of “My Happy Ending.” Kwon Yoon Jin was shocked to learn that the incident from seven years ago that dragged her, Seo Jae Won, and Heo Soon Young to hell was orchestrated by her father Kwon Young Ik. Recalling the pain of losing her precious unborn child, she went to her father and lamented, “How have I lived for the past seven years? It wasn’t because of Seo Jae Won; it was all because of what my father did. You didn’t just kill my child; you killed me too.”
However, even after Kwon Yoon Jin discovered that Seo Jae Won was not the mastermind behind the events that happened seven years ago, she did not cease her villainous deeds. On the contrary, she became obsessed with finding the missing Baek Seung Gyu, and at one point, she pressured Kwon Young Ik to take care of Seo Jae Won by showing him a photo of Seo Jae Won meeting a powerful politician. Viewers’ focus is now on what cruel and heinous actions Kwon Yoon Jin will unleash next against Seo Jae Won.
Yoon Tae Oh (Lee Ki Taek) is a strong ally to Seo Jae Won, who is striving to overcome her bipolar disorder and reveal the truth about her husband’s death. Yoon Tae Oh voluntarily helped Seo Jae Won when she was admitted in a psychiatric hospital and sent her daughter to the United States to live with his adoptive parents to protect her from Kwon Yoon Jin. When Kwon Yoon Jin’s minions broke into Seo Jae Won’s house, he stayed behind to protect her, and when Nam Tae Joo tried to strangle her, he jumped in and saved her.
Furthermore, Yoon Tae Oh actively participates in Seo Jae Won’s search for the truth, investigating and uncovering the misdeeds of Kwon Yoon Jin and Kwon Young Ik, sometimes acting as a shield and sometimes offering comfort. As Tae Oh subtly hinted at his connection with Seo Jae Won from their childhood, viewers can’t help but wonder if he will be able to lead Seo Jae Won to salvation.
The production team of “My Happy Ending” stated, “In the remaining four episodes of ‘My Happy Ending,’ unexpected incidents will unfold. The complex relationship between Seo Jae Won, Kwon Yoon Jin, Yoon Te Oh, Seo Chang Seok (Kim Hong Fa), and Nam Tae Joo will take new twists and turns. Please anticipate the turning points in the latter part of the story.”
The next episode of “My Happy Ending” will air on February 17 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
