“12.12: The Day” has just reached an impressive new milestone at the Korean box office!
On December 11, the Korean Film Council announced that as of midnight KST, “12.12: The Day” had surpassed 7 million moviegoers. The movie was originally released November 22, meaning that it took less than 20 days to hit the 7 million mark.
Less than three weeks into its release, “12.12: The Day” has now already become the second most-watched Korean film of 2023 (after “The Roundup: No Way Out”). It is also the first Korean film that is not a sequel or part of a series to surpass 7 million moviegoers since the COVID-19 pandemic first began affecting movie theater turnouts in 2020.
In celebration of the film’s latest achievement, the star-studded cast of “12.12: The Day” shared photos thanking audiences for their love. Check out all their photos below!
